Goddess Athena- robin Williams
Former U.S. Marine - Police Officer - Dedicated Wife
Robin Williams is from Chicago, IL (South-side) and graduated from George Henry Corliss high school. After graduating from high school, she joined the United States Marine Corps. Robin served on Active Duty from (2011-2015). After serving on Active Duty, she continued to serve in the Reserves (USMC) from (2015-2018). Robin served her country with grace and dignity. She received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps. While serving in the Marines, Robin earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
After the Marine Corps, she joined the American Red Cross family. Robin worked as the assistant manager in the international Social Services department. She reconnected families displaced by war back together and provided countless resources to Active Duty military personal that needed assistance. Robin was also over the veteran program located at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center. The program was sponsored by the American Red Cross and provided hygiene products to veterans in the spinal cord injury unit of the hospital.
Working for the American Red Cross, motivated Robin to start “A Hero Needs a Story” organization. HNS (A Hero Needs a Story) provides a platform for individuals to share their testimonies with people all around the world. Also provide resources to those who are in need and sponsor proms in the minority communities. Robin donated over 500 books to veterans in the spinal cord injury unit at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center. Robin used her own resources to provide women from the Middle East with sewing machines and fabric. She ensured the women enrolled in her sewing course was taught how to sew and was giving the tools needed to flourish in the community.
Robin also partnered with Brookwood facility, to assist adults with developmental problems. She participated in the Brookwood facility 5K bicycle ride and provided participants with sashes. Over the past several years, Robin has made it a priority to provide resources to citizens in need and engage the public.
Among a myriad of community and civic involvement, Robin is currently working as a Police Officer in Texas. She truly has a heart for the people and has dedicated her life to serving others. While working for the Police Department, Robin earned her master’s degree in criminal management and justice administration. Robin uses her platform to address bridging the gap between citizens and Police Officers. She stands behind the oath she took as a Police Officer. Robin has devoted herself to “serving and protecting” the community. She is not afraid to speak out against injustice and stands behinds her campaign slogan “Back the blue but not bullies in blue.” She is an advocate for helping others and promotes her motto “I am you and you are me” in her everyday life. Robin is immensely proud and honored to be a Police Officer. Robin now has decided to answer a higher calling and has set her sights on becoming the next Mayor of Houston but was not successful.
Goddess ceres- Claretha Fulcher
Former Culinary Artist & Party Planner - Dedicated Wife & Mother
Claretha Fulcher was a native of Philadelphia and married her high school sweet heart and best friend Bradley. They were soon blessed with a son Bradley Jr. Claretha whom we called Clare was a woman of many gifts and we were able to taste her scrumptious food, enjoy her party planning skills at our Tea Party in Philadelphia, and wrap our smiles around her infectious laugh as she was known she her say it like it is conversation. Always a lady, Clare kept it real and through her health challenges she never said No. The Sorors in the Tri-State area were honored to recommend Claretha to become an Honorary Goddess because she wanted so much to be a part of the sisterhood.
Claretha was named after the Goddess Ceres, goddess of the growth of food plants, worshiped either alone or in association with the earth goddess Tellus. She is the Roman Goddess of food! The photographs below shows the image of the crown adorned on her head as well as her induction certificate, and blanket that illustrates our Tea party with Claretha last spring. Honorable Claretha Fulcher will forever be missed and always in our hearts. Hon. Claretha passed away before she could become a Goddess but we are happy to have her now.
Goddess Meditrina's - Eloise Brown
Dedicated Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, & Friend
Eloise was born November 22nd 1922 raised in Wilmington, North Carolina shortly before moving to Philadelphia. She was the only child and companion to her mother who worked as a nurse and nanny.
Eloise married her husband John Hill in 1940, from this marriage she was blessed with five children. During the War, Eloise worked at Philadelphia Navel Hospital, and later as a Housekeeper to families in Philadelphia and Jenkintown. Her true calling was discovered as a caregiver to troubled teens with her position as an Assistant Counselor for Youth Services Incorporated, directed by the Municipal Court System of Philadelphia.
After divorcing John Hill she met and married Jim Simmons but he passed away six months later. After her period of mourning she soon met Alfred Brown at a local restaurant. She was courted by Alfred for ten years before accepting his proposal. They were happily married until his death September 8, 1998.
Eloise is surrounded by family and loved ones near and far, among them are her son Reginald and his wife Barbara, her daughter Joan, and many grandchildren and great-grands. Eloise has definitely lived a full beautiful life. We are so honored for her to be a part of our sorority. Her wisdom is such a blessing which is why we named her "Meditrina" which meaning derives from longevity and good health.
